Can you sit with a baby hip carrier?

Absolutely! Sitting while babywearing is perfectly fine, as long as yourbaby’s legs and feet don’t hit any surfaces accidentally. Most parentsand caregivers perfect the art of sitting while babywearing, and youwill, too. Remember, with a hip carrier, you’ll have to keep your babysecure with one arm, so it’s not totally hands-free, but you’ll still beable to carry your baby more comfortably and with less hassle than moretraditional carriers. How many carry positions does Tushbaby offer?

Tushbaby offers four carry positions: front-facing, face-to-face, side carrying, and feeding position. It can be used from infancy to 36 months, and supports children up to 45lbs. When your tot is older, you can even use Tushbaby for piggyback rides — they’ll love it!

When can you turn baby out in a hip carrier?

Every baby is different and will develop and grow at their own pace within standard guidelines. But as soon as your baby can hold up their head, usually around 4 to 6 months, they can sit out and face the world! So snuggle your baby on a hip seat all you want; just keep them secure with one arm so you can safely wear them on your hip.

How should babies’ hips be in a carrier?

Most pediatricians recommend a healthy seated “M” position when using a hip seat carrier. That means your tot’s knees should be sitting higher than their tush when they’re in the face-to-face and side carry position.
